Coultershaw Heritage Site is open for 2018

In the heart of the South Downs near Petworth, Coultershaw Heritage site includes a waterwheel, 18th century waterpump, 21st century water turbine and historic buildings set around the mill pond.


With a range of historic buildings, exhibitions and trails around the mill pond, there is plenty to see and do at Coultershaw.

A visit to Coultershaw can be combined with visits to Petworth House (National Trust), Petworth Cottage Museum and the town itself. 10th November – If you have basic knitting skills come and learn how to create textures and patterns using knit and purl. Make squares which can be built up into a sampler cushion, scarf or throw.

24th November – Extend you knitting skills and learn to knit in the round using four needles. Be able to create; socks, hats, tea cosies etc.
